LWRT is a kind of lightweight reinforced thermoplastic composite made of a hairy substance mixed with polypropylene fiber and glass fiber.
Due to the small density of LWRT composite, the hardness per unit weight is higher than that of traditional Glass mat reinforced thermoplastics (GMT) sheet. In addition, compared to metal, GMT and traditional PP and nylon long fiber thermoplastic (LFT) composite, this material has the advantages of less weight, higher bulk rate, better permeability, more flexible design and lower costs. Therefore, it is an ideal substitute for GMT and other composites, and represents the future development direction of auto parts.
